Kudos SIGAO DRIVE is a distinctive external crossover designed to unlock more of the performance available from compatible Kudos loudspeakers. Positioned between your preamplifier and power amplifiers, it divides the music signal before amplification and allows each loudspeaker drive unit to be controlled by a dedicated amplifier channel.
Unlike a conventional powered active crossover, SIGAO DRIVE is entirely unpowered. There is no mains supply and no active electronic circuitry in the signal path, helping to preserve the natural speed, silence, timing and musical expression for which Kudos systems are known.
A different crossover approach
Designed to Remove the Unnecessary
Conventional loudspeaker crossovers sit between the power amplifier and drive units. SIGAO DRIVE moves the crossover function ahead of the amplifiers, creating a more direct route between each amplifier channel and the individual bass, midrange and treble drive units.
Zero-Power Architecture
SIGAO DRIVE has no separate power supply, avoiding the need for active circuitry and its associated electronic noise within the crossover platform.
Line-Level Crossover
The incoming signal is divided before the power amplifiers, allowing each amplifier channel to focus on the frequency band and driver it has been assigned.
Mechanical Isolation
A custom-isolated circuit board and carefully specified passive components are used to help minimise the effects of mechanical vibration and microphony.
Kudos-Specific Integration
